Whatis a FabLab?

A Fab Lab, or digital fabrication laboratory, is a place to create, to mentor and to invent: a place for learning and innovation.

Fab Lab is a workshop that offers open access to (personal) digital fabrication

Fab Labs provide access to the environment, the skills, the materials and the advanced technology to allow anyone anywhere to make (almost) anything.

It is a place of imagination, experimentation, reflection and creation. The main characteristic of Fablab is their “openness”. They are aimed at students, teachers, entrepreneurs, designers …, who want to go from idea to prototype more quickly.

A FabLab comprises of CNC machines such as a laser cutting machine, CNC router, 3D printer, vinyl cutter and electronics with the aim to make “almost anything”.

FABLAB of National Polytechnic School

The Fablab of the National Polytechnic School was created in November 2021 with the aim of providing students, teachers and all school staff with an environment to bring their ideas to life.

Our Fab Lab offers a variety of machines, processes, codes and capabilities that are easy to use and help bring your ideas into reality. You can find more information about our machines in equipment page in our website

We support staff and students throughout the school, but also welcome members of the public and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

Trainings are given to take control of the machines as well as workshops to put the trainings into practice.
